At Calvary Chapel Newport News, we worship and honor God with creative and cultural diversity in each worship service and in all that we do. Since 1994, the LORD has assembled Believers from dozens of countries to worship Him in Spirit and truth and to foster spiritual growth and biblical understanding through the systematic verse-by-verse teaching of our senior pastor.

Although teaching is our niche in the Body of Christ, our first priority is to lead you to Christ. We want to see your life transformed by accepting Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.

Next we want to come alongside you as the Holy Spirit grows you in Christ. We want to help you fulfill God’s purpose for your life. We will walk with you, we will counsel you, we will disciple you, and we will equip you to lead a fulfilling life in Christ.

At Calvary Chapel Newport News our mission is clear: we exist to teach the Good News of Jesus Christ to the lost and to the found. We accomplish this by Reaching Up in prayer and worship, by Reaching In through spiritual growth, by Reaching Around in small groups, and by Reaching Out through evangelism and community service.

We teach you how to Reach In by using your spiritual gifts to serve others here at CCNN and by growing you spiritually in Christ through our educational classes.

We teach you how to Reach Around by building relationships through participation in Small Groups. Small Groups provide you the opportunity for discipleship and spiritual growth through accountability, fellowship, study, and support.

We teach you how to Reach Out to the world around you by equipping you to move beyond yourself to show God’s love to others and share the Gospel both locally and around the world.

Our teaching extends to your children in our Student Ministries where we teach the Word of God on their level. Our children’s ministry, also known as Calvary Kingdom, teaches infants through 5th Graders. Our youth ministry, also known as IGNITE, teaches 6th-12th Graders. We also offer a thriving dayschool for children ages 2 ½ years to First Grade; as well as Before-And-After School care for school-aged youth through 5th Grade.

Additionally, CCNN offers you numerous social and fellowship opportunities where you can meet and get to know others better — from our sports programs, marriage fellowship, annual Summer Family Picnic, and New Year’s Eve celebration –to name only a few.

We believe that when you truly mature in Christ, your life will never be the same. Your desires and world-view will be transformed as you focus on living a life pleasing to Christ by developing strong and healthy Christ–centered families; by showing the light and love of Christ in your workplace; by gratefully serving those in the family of Christ; and by impacting others outside the four walls of our church.
