Food Places Near Me app does just that. Shows food place near you. However, you can see the food places around you in 3 different views, Camera view, Map view and List view. The best part is that to switch between these views you don't have to tap even a single button. Just tilt your mobile and the view will change.

In Camera view (or Lens view) the app is an augmented reality view where the places near you will be shown when the camera points to the direction of that place. To see in camera view just lift and hold your mobile in front of you in landscape mode with the back camera facing the direction of the street.

In Map view, you can see the locations of the food places in Google Map. You can view the map in satellite mode, traffic mode or just terrain mode. To see the places in Map view, just hold the mobile in landscape mode and hold it down so that the mobile is parallel to the ground.

In List view, you can see the location of the food places in a list sorted by distance. The closest food joint to you will be shown first. To see the places in list view just hold the mobile in portrait mode.

When on freeze mode the items won't change with the camera direction anymore. Once you are done studying the places of interest, tap on the play icon and you will go back to normal view.

Summary circle in the camera view displays places around the user as dots. Tapping on the summary circle will display a bar using which you can control the distance of view.

Freeze Feature: Using the freeze feature, you can stop the movement of camera view and see the place items without any motions. Once you click play the camera view resumes to its usual mode.

The app is powered by Google APIs.

1. getting your location and fetching places details from Google for that location.
